Freelance Data Analyst / Data Engineer – Energy sector

For a leading player in the Belgian energy sector, we're looking for a data and energy enthusiast to turn complex simulation data into clear, insightful and impactful visuals. You'll join a specialised team running security-of-supply, vision and cost-benefit studies based on economic dispatch simulations.
What you'll do
- Improve data management: set up a data warehouse and data pipelines
- Explore and critically analyse large simulation datasets
- Build visualisations from simulation output (writing and updating scripts)
- Compare studies with each other and with historical data
- Propose a user-friendly interface to dynamically explore the data
- Present and iterate on your visuals with stakeholders and management
What we're looking for
- Min. 3 years relevant experience (medior)
- Python
- PowerBI
- React.js
- Minimum knowledge of and interest in energy systems
- Analytical, innovative mind; works independently and in a team
- Good level of English + good level of Dutch or French
